Paul Haig - Something Good/Love Eternal EP

I must confess I'm not entirely sure of the origin of this 1990 EP, and not sure if it is a legitimate release or a bootleg. But I've decided to post it nonetheless because it features some rare tracks and good mixes. With the release of his new album ("Relive", out now in Europe and later this month here in the US) it also seemed a timely post. I've heard some samples from the new album and it sounds great, and his last 2 recent albums (2007's "Electronik Audience" & 2008's "Go Out Tonight") were spectacular.

The Shamen - What's Going Down?

A transitional album from The Shamen, 1988's "What's Going Down?" represents the group's first experiments with electronics. More of a rough edge here than on many of the following albums - aggressive, pounding industrial-sounding rhythms and lots of crunching guitars, very similar to Jesus Jones' "Liquidizer". Not their finest moment by any means but still lots of interesting material here & worth a look back.

1990 single from The Railway Children, taken from the "Native Place" CD. This single includes a shorter edit of "Music Stop" than the one on the album, plus 3 non-album tracks that I don't believe have shown up on anything besides this single. I read that Gary Newby had played a live show very recently in Japan (where he now resides) so here's hoping for some more new activity from him as The Railway Children soon!
